Who’s behind the camera?: CCHS welcomes new teachers to staff

Susan Gordon
Although this is her first year teaching, Susan Gordon is super excited to start this new path. Previously living in Santa Cruz, California, Gordon came to South Florida to quarantine with her family. After staying here for a few months, she knew she couldn’t leave. Before going to school to get her master’s, Gordon was a businesswoman, running her own business and helping others run theirs. When she went back to school, originally wanting to go into technology, she discovered her love for math and decided to pursue a career in it. She saw a need for fun and relatable teachers, so now she teaches Algebra 1 and Adulting 101.
“It really matters to me that my students do well. I want them to not only do well, but I want them to understand it. I want them to understand how math is everywhere, and I hope they find a little bit of that passion for learning as I do.”
