Who’s behind the camera?: CCHS welcomes new teachers to staff

Julie Mir has been teaching for 10 years and has taught both in Florida and New York. Spanish being her first language, Mir teaches Spanish 1 and Spanish for Spanish Speakers 1 and 2. Although she loved her time in New York, she decided to live the “southern dream” and teach in Cooper City, where she had heard such great things regarding the children and school systems. After teaching in the “projects” of downtown New York City, she was looking for a healthy educational environment like the one here at CCHS. Her passion for teaching and helping students thrive are compelling qualities of her character and who she is as a person.
