This past Thursday, the Cooper City Boy’s Volleyball team took on the West Broward Bobcats. Although the Bobcats defeated the Cowboys earlier in the season, Cooper City was ready for the rematch.
In the first game, Cooper City came out strong, taking an early lead against West Broward. The Cowboys fought hard but the Bobcats won some key points, which allowed them to pull away and win that game with a score of 25-17.
In the second game, the Cowboys again came out and took an early lead. As the game progressed, Cooper City continued to pour on the points which allowed them to pull away. However, as the game got close to the finish, the Bobcats came back and took it in to win by two points. The Bobcats ended up scoring 2 points in a row which gave them the victory, winning 27-25.
As the third game began, the Cowboys were looking for a win. Just like the first two games, the Cowboys came out and took a lead except this game they were not going to let it slip out of their hands. With a strong performance by team, specifically junior Simon Shuham, Cooper City was able to hold on to the third game. The Cowboys won 25-16.
With the score now at 2 games to 1, the Cowboys needed two more games to win the whole match. The game started off with a tight score and both teams were neck and neck as the game went on. The Bobcats had some big points which helped them gain a lead as the game came to a close. With one final stretch, the Bobcats went on to win with a final score of 25-19. This also gave them the win in the match with a final score of 3 games to 1.
