Swimming: Cowboys Beat South Broward and Pines Charter

On Wednesday, September 22nd the Cooper City High Swim and Dive team had their first home meet of the season against South Broward and Pines Charter High School’s.
The girls beat South Broward 84-31 and Pines Charter 81-36. The boys beat South Broward 68-43 and Pines Charter 64-47.
Highlights of the game were:
The girls 200 meter freestyle, in which Rachel Gross came in first and Meris Drew came in second.
Matthew Plunkett, Ilya Pavlov, Aiden Goldberg, and Brenton Weathersbee placed second behind Pines Charter in the Boys 200 meter medley relay.
Brianna Schulnaker and Brianna Burge placed 1st and 2nd in the girls 100 meter freestyle.
In the 100 meter butterfly Aiden Goldberg placed 2nd.
Maria Pitt, Brianna Burge, Kristen D’agati, and Meris Drew placed 1st in the girls 200 meter freestyle relay.
In the boys 100 meter backstroke Matthew Plunkett placed 2nd.
Overall CCHS came in first for their first home meet. Their next swim meet will be against Nova and Flanagan at Nova High school.
