The first set of Super Testing sessions kicked off this week with the FSA ELA for freshmen and sophomores on Tuesday, April 17 and Wednesday, April 18. Moving forward, there are four more sessions of Super Testing over the next two weeks.
The first part of the Geometry EOC and School Day SAT makeups are planned to be held next Tuesday, April 24. The second part of the Geometry EOC will take place alongside the Biology EOC for Algebra I students on Wednesday, April 25.
In the third and final week of Super Testing, the first part of the Algebra I EOC and the Biology EOC for Geometry students will take place Tuesday, May 1. The second session of the Algebra I EOC and the US History EOC will be held Wednesday, May 2.
Students testing on these days should eat a good breakfast, arrive on time well-rested and be prepared for an extended period of assessment.
On these select Super Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the school day runs from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. due to the testing of a significant portion of the student populace. Students can not be released until all testing materials have been collected for their sitting. Box lunches will be available for students, and buses will depart at 12:00 p.m.
These Super Testing days are still recognized as normal school days. As such, attendance is expected, even if a student is not testing on any or all of the given days. Students not testing on these days can attend academic reviews or enrichment sessions, with coverage ranging from Advanced Placement courses, to the PERT, to the SAT (registration for SAT prep on April 24 and 25 ended Monday, April 16, but registration for SAT prep on May 1 and May 2 is open until Monday, April 23). Seniors not attending reviews have the option of a make-up study hall.
Along with the Super Testing morning reviews and enrichment sessions, some teachers will be holding afternoon review sessions at their own discretion and on a case-by-case basis.
Super Testing session forms were distributed Friday, April 13. Students should mark the days they will be attending reviews or mark the days they will not be attending, and, if not yet turned in, bring and submit this form to Student Affairs immediately.
