If you’re in search for some new music to download, look no further: Runner Runner’s new self-titled album is the perfect blend of melodies for listeners of any genre. You may have heard their singles “So Obvious” or “Hey Alli” playing on the radio, and these upbeat songs show only one aspect of the band’s various styles.

Runner Runner, whose name originates from a poker term due to the member’s love of poker, is comprised of front man Ryan Ogren, guitarists Nick Bailey and Peter Munters, bassist Jon Berry and drummer James Ulrich. Originally from Huntington Beach, California, they formed the band two years ago after their paths crossed while on various tours with other bands. The musicians really enjoyed each other and decided to join together to form Runner Runner.

With help from various producers, Runner Runner have produced an album full of catchy pop tunes. The overall sound is upbeat and incredibly catchy; the majority of the songs make you want to get up and dance, which compliments and contrasts with the acoustic songs toward the end of the album. The band used the perfect amount of auto-tuning, amazing guitar hooks, and dance-floor electric beats that make the entire sound of the album stand out.

The first track on the album is “So Obvious.” This was Runner Runners first single, and it set the wheels in motion for their upcoming success. The electric-pop intro combined with the well-crafted lyrics set the tone for the album.

The next song “Unstoppable” portrays the idea that love is, in essence, unstoppable. This song, like the others, adds to the overall pop sound of the album, giving the listeners exactly what they want.

One song that seem to standout on the album is “I Can’t Wait.” Singer Ryan Ogren’s voice is flawless as he sings about moving on from a relationship. The song is different from the others; it has a softer beat and uses an acoustic intro.

Another song that shines bright on the album is “She’s My Kinda Girl.” This is another song that will make you jump up on your feet and start to dance like no one is watching.

This album definitely shows a mature side of the band. All the songs truly blend together perfectly, making this album one to remember. Runner Runner is making their mark in the music industry, so be sure to check them out.
