Man on the street: Will America’s reaction to the election be riots or rage?

The U.S.’s 2020 general election has been considered one of the most dramatic presidential elections in modern history. Former Vice President Joe Biden is running as the Democratic candidate against the current Republican President Donald Trump. There have been reactions all over the spectrum as to which candidate will win the race for the presidency, and people everywhere are preparing for any possible disruptions.
For instance, businesses in major American cities have been blocking off their doors to prevent possible damage due to rioters. This post-election violence is expected due to how divisive this election has become. In fact, certain topics that many would not even consider political have become so, such as racial inequality and the now-politicized COVID-19 pandemic plans. In light of such high stakes this year, CCHS students were asked, “What do you think will be America’s reaction to the election results?” Here is what they said:
