With the majority of my family living in Scotland, I make sure I visit as much as possible. A nine-hour plane ride doesn’t cross my mind while boarding the plane. Instead, the sight of my family, castles, hills, old architecture, and freshly baked goods clutter my head. Instead of fences, they have open fields. The back of my Aunts house has an entire strip of brightly colored plants and a menagerie of animals. My cousin and I like to explore everything the outdoors has waiting for us. This photograph contains every bit of memory that day had to offer. Falling in mud, running from a herd of cows, and climbing trees. Scotland is a place that will always be close to heart.
