BY CHRISTINA RIVERO

Over the years, Marvel has had many courageous heroes willing to fight in order to insure the good of their city in peril. However, not all of them are equal in personality, power, and physical standards. Some are book smart while others have unique special abilities. The best of the best are here on Issues Solved Top 10 Marvel Heroes list.

10. Beast

Dr. Henry McCoy is a member of the X-Men who possesses superhuman strength and animal-like reflexes. His blue fur makes him easy to spot in a crowd, but luckily Hank prefers working in the lab as opposed to rushing into the heat of battle.

9. Spider-Man

Just about everyone knows the theme song and back-story of this hero. Spider-Man, A.K.A.

Peter Parker was the nerd in high school when one day he was bitten by a radioactive spider (which gave him the ability of one). Spider-Man may not be the most fortunate of the heroes, but with his intellect, will to fight, and kindness, it’s clear he’s only trying to do what’s right.

8. Black Widow

Natasha Romanoff is an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D and a part of the Avengers Initiative. She has amazing acrobatic skills and two handguns that she can aim and shoot with incredible precision. Not only that. Black Widow is able to think ahead of her enemies. On the Marvel’s Wikipedia her fighting skills received a rating of 7 out of 7.

7. Storm

Young Ororo Munroe grew up as an orphan and a thief in Africa. When her mutant powers manifested, people worshiped her as a goddess. Ororo is called Storm because she has the ability to manipulate the weather. With the bat of an eye she can turn a sunny day into a snowstorm. Within minutes a blizzard can transform into a category five hurricane.

6. Cyclops

Although he can be uptight, Scott Summers, better known as Cyclops, is a natural leader. Since he grew up in the X-Mansion at Professor Xavier’s “School for Gifted Youngsters,” the majority of summer’s world has been spent immersed in mutant culture.

5. Thor

Thor is a great and mighty god from Asgard. He saves our world and Asgard by wielding the power of thunder and lightning to destroy any of his foes. The son of Odin (the All-Father of the Asgardians) is the only one able to wield Mjolnir, or as most people refer to it, his hammer. He, like Captain America, believes in defending the vulnerable and will stop at nothing to do so.

4. Hulk

Surviving gamma radiation isn’t an easy task. Still when growing ten times your size is always a plus. The man behind the famous green fighter is Doctor Banner. He has intelligence beyond many and is able to wield the Hulk at his command because he’s “always angry.” This throws a bit of irony into the mix since he appears a calm, cool, and collective scientist. Remarkably, he is able to unleash a giant green monster that is willing to fight and destroy.

3. Wolverine

He’s the best at what he does. Born in Canada in the 1800s when Logan’s mutation emerged, Wolverine not only gained claws, but also a mutant healing factor that restores his youth.

2. Iron Man

Yes, Tony Stark is a tad over confident at times. Still. He is willing to sacrifice himself for the good of the majority. He’s very crafty when designing and creating his plethora of Iron Man suits and is everyone’s favorite “billionaire-playboy-philanthropist.”

1. Captain America

He’s a natural leader who thinks of others before himself in order to save the world. He’s also (obviously) the number one cheerleader for the U.S.A. His super strength gives him the upper hand and along his agility only adds to his talent. Above all, his talent to deal with tough situations gives him spot #1.
