Homecoming Week was five days of spirit and games for the school population and each day offered a new experience.

Monday: Lions, tigers, and bears, oh my! Homecoming week kicked off with Animal Monday. The students of Cooper City High dressed up as their favorite animals. Wearing animal ears, creative face paint, and their favorite onesies, students showcased their wild side. After school, Krazy Kickball took place in the gym. The classes matched up against each other in a tournament style competition. After two rounds, the seniors ended up winning the final game against the juniors.

Tuesday: Twin Tuesday. It was a day to dress up in matching outfits with a partner. Whether as a couple or with friends, the school was in high spirits with students and teachers wearing their costumes. The Lip Sync Battle was held in the auditorium. The participants of each class teamed up to present a performance. The teams were then judged based on their lip sync skills, choreography, and costumes. The crowd clapped and cheered for the winner of each round. Seniors were crowned winner of the battle.

Wednesday: Weightlifter Wednesday. Students dressed up as their favorite sport figures. Sports jerseys and eye black paint filled the hallways and though everyone rooted for different sports teams, everyone had a ball in promoting school spirit. Each class brought their “A” game to Crazy Feats, where students competed in tournaments for a trophy and class pride. The event started at 5 p.m. and consisted of Tape the Person to the Wall, Pass the Orange, Throw the Chicken, Musical Chairs, Cup Stacking, Wheelbarrow Obstacle Course, Class Sponsor Limbo, Balloon Pop, and Tug-O-War. Though every class tried their best, the seniors came away victorious.

Thursday: Spirit Day. CCHS became a sea of red, black, and white as school shirts, spirit socks, face paint and senior crowns littered the halls. The Homecoming game featured the Cooper City Cowboys against the South Broward Bulldogs. The cheerleaders were cheering and the band was marching. The bleachers were alive with energy from the student population and the Homecoming Court walked down the field with their family and friends. Cooper City won the Homecoming game 22-12.
Friday: The Homecoming Dance. The cafeteria was decked out in circus-themed decorations and featured a DJ and a food truck. The Homecoming Court made their appearance and everyone joined in during the dancing. The music diversity and availability of song requests allowed the students to enjoy the music. Many students danced the night away while enjoying snow cones and cotton candy. It was a tremendous closing to an exceptional week.
