In today’s world of fast paced computer games and TV shows it is hard to contemplate sitting down with a nice long book. But rest assured there are still many out there that are not only worth your while but you might actually enjoy.
If you like…
The book Immortal by Gene Doucette is filled with humor and is absolutely riveting. The story centers around a protagonist named Adam, a man as old as time itself. Meeting many challenges and face life threatening dangers he struggles in modern day life. With nowhere to hide and a group of demons and assassins after him, Adam is on the run in this hilarious and highly unpredictable book.
Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally is very sweet. Jordan Woods is quarterback of the foot ball team and a girl. Everyone seems ok with this except, of course, her father. When a new guy comes into town and tries to take her spot, drama and an in-depth relationship unfold. It’s highly entertaining; filled with sports, cute boys, and catty girls. This is a book that will stay with you long after you finish.
Undead by Kirsty McKay is set on a high school ski trip where the heroes of this book have to work together to survive a zombie outbreak. Bobby, the new kid, Smitty the rebel and Alice the mean girl make the most unlikely trio. When all their classmates want to have them for lunch, they have to work together or become a snack. It’s filled with gory fight scenes and a plethora of new ways to use your snowboard. Hilarious and terrifying at the same time, this book perfectly encapsulates everything we love about horror stories, conspiracy theories, prissy girls, castles, and of course zombies.
