On March 5th, 2013, The Varsity girls lacrosse team faced off against the University School Suns.
The Cowboys started off strong. Within the first ten seconds of the game junior Ally Pratt scored a goal. The Suns started to step it up but it wasn’t enough to stop senior Victoria Delgado from adding to the scoreboard with a fast goal. After multiple groundballs and attempted shots, the half finally came to a close with the Cowboys in the lead 6-5.
In the second half, the Suns retaliated and starting scoring left and right. The Cowboys also started to step up. Defense and Middies ran back and forth in attempt to stop the Suns. Then, senior Dani Haugen, scored a sneaky goal. Overall, the Cowboys put up a fight but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to stop the Suns. The final score of the game was 13-8.
Come out Thursday, March 7th as the Cowboys take on Taravella High School at home at 5 PM.
