Cooper City High School’s Cross Country team competed in another meet at Markham Park, on October 12. The boys and girls teams had a very strong day at Markham Park against some tough competition. The boys finished 2nd overall only 10 points behind a solid Taravella team. The girls team despite a small roster put on a good show and finished 3rd overall. Some of the highlights:
The top 5 boys all finished in the top 14 with all running sub 19 minutes, (Andrew, Nassor, Kevin, Kalan, and WillWill Dean (18:59, Josh Cohen (19:55), Andrew Kirsch (22:25), Jay Lim (22:40), Kevin Luks (25:12) all set PR’s.
Shelby Turner finished 5th overall with a PR time of 22:55. Each meet she has improved her time.
Elizabeth Baltazar smashed her previous PR with a 29:40 run
The boys season record is 24-4, and the girls finish with 15-13.
