The College and Career Center at CCHS is hosting informational visits with representatives from universities from across the nation.
Accessing the BRACE page of the CCHS website and clicking on “Upcoming CCHS College Visits & Information Sessions” and then clicking “Register Here” will take you to Eventbrite, where students can view a list of upcoming visits and sign up to attend. The ticket must be printed and signed by the teacher whose class coincides with the time of the visit. All juniors and seniors are welcome to attend.
These visits provide important information about colleges, including scholarship opportunities, the application process, and what different schools have to offer. They also provide a chance for students to ask speakers questions they may have about the universities they represent.
“Meeting a college representative at a high school college visit gives students first hand and up to date information on the college application process as well as scholarship opportunities at that particular college,” BRACE Advisor Christine Siwek said. “Students have the opportunity to ask questions to a real person as well as meet the person who will most likely review their application.”
While visits from schools like Florida State University and NOVA Southeastern University have already passed, it is not too late to sign up to learn about the University of California LA, Vanderbilt University, the University of Florida, and many more.
