Swimming: Cowboys Place First Against South Plantation And Western

On Wednesday October 5, the Cooper City High School Swim team placed 1st against South Plantation and Western High School.
After a long season of hard practice, the team celebrated a win in their last home meet of the year.
Highlights of the meet were:
Girls B relay team Rachel Gross, Merris Drew, Kelly Chmura, and Brianna Schlunaker and Boys A relay team Matt Plunkett, Santiago Salinas, Aiden Goldberg, and Brenton Weathersbee both placed 1st in the 200 medley relay.
Santiago Salinas came in 1st in both the 200 free and 100 fly
Erika Fassler placed 1st in the 200 I.M
Logan Snider won 1st in the 100 fly
Matt Plunkett came in 1st in the 100 free
Taylor Cook won first in the 500 free
Boys A relay team Teddy Sandoval, Connor Geair, Edward Calderin, and Brandon Bogumill and girls A relay team Merris Drew, Kelly Chmura, and Maria Pitt places 1st in the 200 free A relay
The team will continue to train hard for their BCAA Championship swim meet next Saturday, October 15th at the Swimming Hall of Fame.
