The Lariat was named the best student news publication at the Sun Sentinel High School Journalism Awards on Monday, May 16.
The awards were held at Nova Southeastern University’s Miniaci Performing Arts Center and honored the best student journalists and publications in Broward County.
The Lariat won 18 awards, including 10 first place awards, for it’s work this year. This year was also the first year The Lariat won the top award, First Place – Best Overall.
