Every year, CCHS recognizes two outstanding staff members who go above and beyond for the students, faculty and community. For the 2024-2025 school year, this honor goes to Nicole Hicks, the CCHS Teacher of the Year, and Sheri Rausseo, the School-Related Employee of the Year. Both women have left a lasting impact on the school, embodying the spirit of dedication, kindness and excellence that makes CCHS such a special place.

As the Class of 2025 sponsor and a devoted member of the CCHS family for 16 years, Ms. Hicks’ influence extends far beyond campus. Whether it’s helping to organize class events or leading school initiatives, Ms. Hicks brings energy and dedication to everything she does. Her passion for her students and the CCHS community earned her the recognition as this year’s Teacher of the Year.

“CCHS means everything to me,” Ms. Hicks said. “It’s where I have spent the past 16 years of my life, dedicating my time and energy to serve the awesome students, community, and staff here. I think it’s really someplace special, and I’m happy to be a small part of it.”

Her involvement with the Class of 2025 allows her to stay connected to the student body. She helps prepare the class for its upcoming senior year and beyond. Her leadership, enthusiasm and positive attitude make her an essential part of the CCHS community.

Ms. Sheri Rausseo, sponsor of the Class of 2027 and CCHS’ technology support specialist, has quickly left an impact during her time at CCHS. Whether it’s restarting the laptops or planning activities for the class of 2027, Ms. Rausseo is known for her enthusiasm and unwavering support of students and staff. Her dedication to school spirit and ensuring that students have the resources they need has earned her the title of School-Related Employee of the Year.

“What does CCHS mean to me? It means the world to me,” Ms. Rausseo said. “I love the school. My kids came to this school, and when I started here, it meant the world to me. I love everybody that’s here, and the students are amazing. The staff is amazing, and I’m just so happy to be here. Thank you so much for this award. I really appreciate you guys.”

CCHS Principal Perkovic expressed her pride in both honorees, emphasizing how they represent the best of CCHS.

“This year, we’re proud to celebrate Ms. Hicks as Teacher of the Year and Ms. Rausseo as School-Related Employee of the Year,” Principal Perkovic said. “Each of them brings so much to our school community. They’re dedicated, passionate, and love what they do, so I am incredibly proud and congratulate them both.”

Congratulations to Ms. Nicole Hicks and Ms. Sheri Rausseo for their well-deserved awards!
