The tension rose in the Cooper City High School gym as the players walked out onto the court. Both teams stood on their side of the net and prepared for the game to start, spiking the ball over and over again. With five minutes left in the match, the girls ran into their huddles and had their ritual pep-talk before walking out onto the court again.
