On Thursday November 3rd, the girls varsity soccer team traveled to Northeast high school to take on the Hurricanes.

In the first quarter, the game started off slow with not many chances and a back to back game. Eventually, Senior Jemma Miller scored the first goal to break the dry spell. Shortly after that play, Dominique Perron found the back of the net off an assist from Olivia Lewis making the game 2-0. The Cowboys continued to possess the ball and went into the water break up by 2.

In the 2nd quarter the Cowboys found their rhythm and Forward Vikki Ramos buried the ball in the back of the goal off an assist from Kimberly Slinkosky. Once the Cowboys began applying heavy pressure the Hurricanes were left with nothing as they were stuck in their own half for the remainder of the second quarter. The cowboys ended the half 3-0.

The defense did not let anything by them and the Hurricanes struggled to break through. Ramos scored the 4th goal of the game making it 4-0 and picking up herself a brace. The Cowboys continued to dominate the game by shooting at will and not letting the Hurricanes past half field. Miller then put the ball in the bottom left corner with her head off a perfect cross widening their lead in the game. The Cowboys showed no mercy as they continued to shoot and score. Lewis scored the last two goals of the game, making it 8-0. The Cowboys won by mercy rule in the third quarter.
