On Friday, September 7th, the Cooper City Cowboys faced off against the West Broward Bobcats in their first home game of the season. After two weather delays, the teams marched out onto the field ready to play.

In the first quarter, before the second weather delay, junior Zach Tasse went in to score the first touchdown. Jeremy Moss kicked in the extra point to make the score 7-0, CCHS.

Soon after the Cowboys scored their first touchdown, the Bobcats made a comeback and scored a touchdown bringing the score to 7-7 by halftime. Heading into the 3rd quarter, the Cowboys played strong with junior Jarrett Morgan rushing into the end zone to increase their lead, 21-7.

In the 4th quarter, the Cowboys kept the Bobcats off the board with a strong defensive stand. Senior Lemond Johnson intercepted the ball and took it the other way for a 25 yard touchdown. The game ended with a final score of 34-7 with the Cowboys defeating the Bobcats.
