On Thursday, September 12, the Cooper City Cowboys faced off against the Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs in an away game. Unfortunately the Cowboys were beat 31-0,

The first quarter began with the Cowboys kicking off to the Chiefs.  On the first drive of the game, the Cowboys defense was very strong and they held the Chiefs to a field goal. With the score 3-0, quarterback Tyler Sabine connected with Senior Wide Receiver Lukas Volpe 3 for an incredible reception.

Nevertheless, the Chiefs held a tight defense: preventing the Cowboys from any more success. Due to three Cowboy penalties (2 offside and 1 Neutral Zone Infraction) the Chiefs got closer and closer to their end zone and finally Quarterback #14 connected with Wide Receiver #9, score 10-0.

During the second quarter, the Chiefs capitalized on opportunities leading them to score with a pass from #14 to #9.   With the score now 17-0, the Cowboys desperately tried to put some numbers on the board but a dropped pass caused them to fumble.

With the score 24-0, quarterback Quest Hopler threw an interception causing the Chiefs to score another touchdown.  Due to thunderstorms, the game was then cut short with a final score of 31-0. The next game for Cooper City High School football will be at McArthur High School on Thursday September 18.
