Cooper City high school faced off last Friday, October 22nd, against the Coconut Creek Cougars in a game that should be marked as one of the greatest in Cowboy football history.

The game began with a cougar touch down. But, it didn’t take long though for wide receiver Camden Krohn to run in the ball for a touch down, with the extra point, it ended the first quarter with a score of 7-6 Cowboys.

However, going into the second quarter a touchdown pass by the Cougar quarterback would push them ahead of the cowboys by 6 points. A second Cougar touchdown would place them ahead of the Cowboys by another seven points. This put some serious pressure on the Cowboy offense at the end of the first half with Cooper City trailing 19-7.

Coming into the third quarter, the Cowboy offense displayed a different mindset. With 6 minutes left until the fourth and final quarter, Krohn scored his second touchdown of the game. This brought them within a touchdown and back into the game.

The same aggressive play continued on into the fourth quarter. Just a few minutes in, wide receiver Jesse Mims caught the pass that would lead into the final touchdown of the game. This touchdown pushed the Cowboys ahead of the Cougars 21-19, give them a come from behind win in an all important district game, putting them in reach of a district title and proving just how much progress these athletes have made this season.

The Cowboys next game is at home November 5th against Coral Glades.
