The Cooper City High boys soccer team faced off against South Broward Bulldogs Wednesday night and pulled off a win of 3 – 2.

The Cowboys had an excellent defense coming into the game, not letting South Broward to get that many shots on goal.  The first few shots of the game were brought by a valiant effort by Doubea Kets Pierre, almost scoring the Cowboy’s first goal.

Coming into the break, the game was tied up at 0 – 0, but not for long as South Broward scored, making the game 1 – 0.  Soon after the goal by South Broward, Cowboy player Myles Notkin scored off a head ball to make the game 1 – 1.  Cooper kept the intensity up and made another head ball goal, scored by Randy Milliken.

At halftime, the Cowboy’s lead the game 2 – 1 in a well-fought battle.  Cooper extended the lead to 3 – 1 after Christian Halpin made an unstoppable shot.  The Bulldogs we’re able to score in the last minutes of the game, but the defense held up enough to win the game with the score of 3 – 2.

The Cowboys next game is Tuesday Jan. 18 at home against Piper High School.
