It’s prom season at Cooper City High and ticket sales have officially begun. The first dates were March 27th through March 30th, however sales will continue to take place in the cafeteria on April 4th through April 6th and April 17th through April 20th. Tickets are being sold for $70.

“I’ve been looking forward to prom for four years,” Senior Jeremy Brower said. “The tickets are a great price, making the anticipation even greater.”

To purchase tickets, seniors must have no obligations and at least 40 service hours. Dates of seniors who are underclassmen must have no obligations. Those looking to buy tickets must also have the proper forms filled out before they can be purchased; this includes a prom agreement form for both seniors and underclassmen and a guest form if a student is taking a date that does not attend Cooper City High School.

The price was fortunately able to go down ten dollars from last year due to fundraising by the class of 2017. After tickets are purchased, they will be emailed out to students. Prom will take place on May 20th at the Signature Grand from 7-11 pm. Those who attend should be sure to bring both their ticket and student ID to the event.

“I can’t believe it’s finally here,” Senior Carsten Nordhen said. “I’ve been looking forward to prom since elementary school, I can’t wait to buy my ticket.”
