With many amazing movies coming out these past few months, such as Unbroken and Mockingjay: Part IAmerican Sniper had high expectations to reach if it wanted to prosper… and that it did. After seeing all three, I can confidently say that American Sniper is one that definitely leaves an impact on each and every individual leaving the theater. With the central theme revolving around American patriotism and the concept of love prevailing through all, it encompasses every part of the formulaic equation for a good movie.

American Sniper is very fast paced, but that`s what makes it perfect. The parallelism is so unique as to be a sniper, one must be stealthy and readily able to take action and that is evident in not only the battlefield but in Chris Kyle`s (Bradley Cooper) personal life as well. The transitions are effortless and it is easy to understand what is going on throughout each and every scene, so the simplified plot makes American Sniper that much more appealing. Credit is given where it is due and, no doubt, the directors and editors of this film did a phenomenal job, but it would not have had the same emotional effect had it not been for the outstanding cast chosen. Bradley Cooper`s change in genre was well noted as he transformed his usual funny charismatic self into a devoted Navy Seal that takes great pride and responsibility in ensuring the safety of the country`s people. With supporting actors such as Sienna Miller, Luke Grimes, and Jake McDorman, American Sniper ensured its onscreen success by entailing actors who would draw and keep the audiences` attention throughout the duration of the two-hour film. Although lengthy in time, the two hours seems to fly by the viewers eyes as it is very rapid in its story- telling and does not have time to take a breather, so bathroom breaks are quite detrimental as one may miss an action packed scene in just the two minutes it takes to go.

The possibility of American Sniper being the best movie of 2015 is not a shocker as the movie`s success continues to prevail due to positive word of mouth. For everyone who hasn`t had the time to see this fantastic film yet, do it. You will walk out of that theater with a new appreciation for the men and women who put their lives at risk for our country every day and a new meaning to live each day like it was your last.
