Winter clothes when it’s over 70 degrees: No moment is more anticipated than when the temperature plummets from 84 degrees to a whopping 74 degrees. In Cooper City, that means it’s time for girls to break out scarves, Uggs and any other winter attire. Although they look ridiculous, this South Florida snow bunny look is somehow deemed socially acceptable.

Camouflage: For our fellow Cooper City residents that sport the green and brown pattern daily, the question must be addressed: What exactly are you hiding from?

Glasses with no lenses; therefore, no purpose: Unless you are a jellyfishing yellow sponge that lives under the sea, there is no need to wear black frameless glasses. Leave the 3-D movie accessory in the theater and don’t wear them around town.

Tying the back of your shirt to make it tighter: We were all guilty of committing this crime in middle school, when we tied our Pioneer Middle School field trip T-shirts. That’s the ONLY time that offense is forgivable. It needs to stop; we’re not in middle school anymore.

“Candies”: A homemade beaded bracelet, maybe even two, I can deal with. However, the need to cover both arms entirely with these bright plastic rave accessories perplexes me. I understand wanting to carry the spirit of the weekend with you, but it looks ridiculous.

Anything other than an earring inserted in the ear: Not only is it a fashion concern, but also to my knowledge, isn’t sticking small toys and household items in your ear a health concern? If it was not designed penetrate your skin, it should not be there.
