On Friday September 30th, the Cooper City High Cowboys faced up against McArthur Mustangs.  Going into the first quarter, the Cowboys established a hard running game gaining many yards from #5 Tyler Brown.  The Cowboys defense held strong the whole quarter and kept the game neck and neck.  Cowboys attempted a field goal on 4th down but the kick just nearly missed, ending the first quarter 0-0.

Beginning in the 2nd quarter it was a back and forth game until the Mustangs broke through and made it 7-0.  Shortly after, on kickoff #3 Darell Wise ran for a 39 yard return all the way to the Cowboys 47 yard line.  The Cowboys began picking up the pace with big throws from #1 Michael Diliello to #40 Luis Alvarez and #10 Christian Cuenca.  The Cowboys pushed down to the 7 yard line and on 4th and goal decided to attempt a field goal.  The kick went wide and the Mustangs converted on the next drive making the game 14-0 at the end of the half.

On the kickoff in the 3rd quarter , Mcarthur took back a kickoff making the game 20-0 and converting on the 2 points after.  The Cowboys still played a hard game and continued to fight to get points on the board.  However, the Mustangs went on to score their 4th touchdown making the game 28-0.  The Cowboys kept their heads up and tried to establish an offensive game, but the Mustangs continued to play strong defense.

In the 4th quarter, both teams played well defensively and nobody was able to score.  No team was able to get an offensive rhythm, until the last second where the Mustangs scored their final touchdown to end the game 36-0. Even though the Cowboys lost the game, the parents and families of the players enjoyed themselves as their Cowboys had their senior night well appreciated.
