Cooper City High School’s Swim and Dive Team had their second meet of the season on Wednesday September 15 against Coral Springs, West Broward and Flanagan High School at the Pembroke Pines Aquatic Center.

CCHS boys beat Coral Springs 38-37, but lost to West Broward and Flanagan by 34 points. The girls beat Coral Springs and Flanagan 52-13 and 43-28, but West Broward edged them out, winning by 3 points.

The highlights of the meet were:

The 200 meter medley relay, which CCHS girls Rachel Gross, Erika Fassler, Logan Snider, and Brianna Schlunaker finished in first place.

The boys’ 200 meter freestyle in which Ilya Pavlov came in second.

In the 200 meter freestyle and in the 200 meer I.M and 100 breaststroke Erika Fassler placed first.

Logan Snider came in 1st in the 100 meter freestyle.

Brianna Schulnaker swam the 50 meter freestyle placing 1st.

Also in the girls 200 meter freestyle relay Maria Pitt, Briana Burge, Meris Drew, and Michelle Gontko came in first.

Overall, Cooper City came in second behind Coral Springs. The Cowboy’s next meet is at home on Wednesday September 22nd.
